History Repeats Itself

It was a determining match between which hall, 1 or 15, to qualify for the quarter finals this afternoon. Both teams fought aggressively and they seem to be on par in terms of their skills and speed. Nevertheless, a winner has to emerge among the two teams and fortunately, hall 15 managed to score a goal towards the end of the game and this thus ended the battle between hall 1 and hall 15.
But the journey does not end there for hall 15 as we continued in the battle in the evening facing a strong team from hall 6 during their opening match in the quarter finals. Both teams showed great determination in winning the game that we could hardly determine a winner till Senthil scored in a goal near the end of the first half of the game. Fierce attacks and superb handling of the balls from both teams just motivated their supporters to cheer louder for them.
In the 2nd half of the game, it started off with the aggressive attack from hall 6 as hall 15 was leading in the game. Though our defenders managed to sweep quite a few balls out of the D, hall 6’s efforts were paid off with their continuous attack which allowed them to score a goal in the game. The game thus ended off with a draw score of 1-1 which led on to the penalty shoot out.
Luck just wasn’t on our side. It was a heart breaking loss during the penalty shoot out for both the team members and the supporters who went down to cheer for them.
